Testimonial for a small, purebred terrier by Maybush Kennels
"If you are looking for a smart, sturdy, loving, and dynamic breed for its size, an aussie terrier will never disappoint."

Portia:

Portia, the aussie terrier

"[In June, 2018], a new addition entered our life - we took Portia home. She had been born in April, one of seven healthy puppies in a litter of Sylvia Knight's Australian Terriers.

In preparation for this happy event, Sylvia encouraged us to visit and get acquainted with her and the breed dogs. When she was certain the mother-to-be was pregnant, she encouraged us to meet the mother. After the puppies were born and old enough to meet strangers we made another visit and met Portia.

Sylvia was thorough and careful about the breeding. She constantly introduced new strains into the genetic mix. After the puppies arrived she had them on a special diet of "home made" food to suppliment their mother's milk. She had a veterinarian examine and innoculate them. She provided us with complete documents on Portia's health, ancestry, and Canadian Kennel Club registration. Sylvia bathed and groomed Portia before we arrived to take her home. Sylvia even paid us visits after we had Portia to monitor her progress and instruct us on grooming.

In summary we are very pleased with the service Sylvia provided and would not hesitate to get another one of her puppies."

Pippin:

"Richard and I got Pippin in April, 2017. Our lives haven't been the same since! What a friendly little dog, full of all the good things "puppyish." We are both working artists with our studios at home and find him to be a wonderful companion and a distraction from the intensity of our art practices. He gets us out into the neighbourhood every day for his walks - and every day we hear comments from the people who cross our paths. One such comment from a little 6 year old, "Is that dog real?" Pippin has added so much love and fun to each day. Thank you, Maybush Australian Terriers!"

"We waited for a year to pick our puppy up in Nova Scotia. It was well worth the wait. Teenie is a wonderful puppy, calm, cuddly and feisty. Her temperament is stellar. She loves everyone she meets adults, children and dogs alike. She is an excellent watch dogs as well. Thank you Sylvia for trusting us with your puppy. We could not ask for a better dog. Teenie is great representative of the Australian Terrier Breed."

Patch:

Small terrier testimonial - Nova Scotia

"Patch, our Maybush Red Australian Terrier, has been a source of joy in our lives since we met him, and his siblings on a walk with their breeder Sylvia Knight. It was serendipity and destiny!

"Patch has been with us for a year and he has always been a healthy pooch and good-natured. Along with his happy disposition, he is always always attentive and entertaining. Patch has energy to burn and loves to learn, and also loves water and taking a dip occasionally.

"He loves children of all ages and welcomes happily all his fans when he is out in public. He has many canine friends. Patch is a team player at the dog park and a bit of a show-off especially in fresh powder snow where our red aussie transforms into a cloud of snow: running, whirling and having great fun.

"Sylvia remains in Patch's life and has been a wonderful mentor and is always willing to share her experience and knowledge of this wonderful breed. If you are looking for a smart, sturdy, loving, and dynamic breed for its size, an aussie terrier will never disappoint." - Claudette Fortin, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Ross:

Ross, Nova Scotia terrier Ross, Nova Scotia terrier Ross, Nova Scotia terrier

"Ross is true to his breed in being confident, alert to all goings on, and affectionate. Also, he can put himself in the most interesting positions - muscles and even bones seem to totally relax! This ability is often amusing to see. So far he is very friendly to people and big and small dogs. In all honesty we have found him to be quite challenging! Sweet in so many ways but a challenge just the same. It is getting better but at times we feel we are not "out of the woods" yet but we know that time and Ross' maturity should have positive results. Maybe it is because our living circumstance is different from what it was when we had puppies in the past (we lived on a farm then) or maybe it is just that we are quite a bit older. At any rate we are in for the long haul!"

"Hi Sylvia, Dundee is doing great! He's got so much personality and is loved by everyone he meets! Here are some of Dundee's most photogenic pictures although he always looks great in pictures. He's about 15 pounds now and has learned a few tricks, his latest is high fives. . . . Even our vet was amazed with how healthy and perfect he's grown!" - Melanie
